I’m most veterans of the US right now. This is why I have a complicated relationship with my service. I served the PEOPLE because you are worth it. Only way I can square this circle in my own head. I was an 17 yo kid when I enlisted. My brain wasn’t fully formed and I’ve been forever changed.
The worst part about the boat strikes - regardless of who ordered what and besides the ultimate tragedy of lives lost - is they’re forever a stain on the professionalism and dignity of the United States military.
They’re an insult to every American who ever sacrificed to do the right thing.
