I wrote a thread in 2021 imagining life in Nazi America as a thought experiment. The goal was to get people to think about how it would affect *them* and not just think about it historically hoping maybe they’d rage against it. Oh well…

It’s the only thing I wanted to salvage from the old place.

As we endure this painfully slow slide into fascism, let's imagine Nazi

F*ck the Democrats. If I vote for any Democrats ever again, it’ll be incidental, not purposeful. I will *not* give them money, I will *not* work for them.

I’m about the candidates and coalitions now. Give me multiple parties or none at all.

Um, elections are about persuading the people, in a democracy anyway. Turns out we didn’t have one of those, and it was Obama who opened the door and his boy Biden who rolled out the carpet for the fascists.

There IS something wrong with party elites choosing the candidate. If you don’t see that, I don’t know what to say.

Sanders dropped out in early April, but the rest had declared Biden the winner even before Super Tuesday. A deal had been struck well before. Nobody had clambered for Biden. Ever.

We need officials who will do the work we elect them to do, even if it’s difficult. It’s *going to be difficult* for the foreseeable future.
