Tomorrow, September 4 will be what would have been my late beloved Eddie’s 11th birthday, a cherished member of our family for ten incredible years until his passing in April from heart failure. Not a day goes by where I don’t miss him or think about him. #petgrief #petloss
A shutdown lasting until Thanksgiving will make that the longest government shutdown in American history. The economic and political damage will be enormous.
I don't blame Trump for nominating Pete Hegseth to DoD. I blame the Senate Republicans, knowing he was not qualified for the job to confirm him.
Next time Ds have the House, Senate and White House they will get to pass their budget without R support. They might even get to pass bills on voting rights and gun control.
We are the ones paying for all of that renovation. Makes me wonder what the next president is going to do.
n rural America, it's more than economics and inflation. I think there are also cultural issues at play, particularly on the three Gs: God, Gays, and Guns.
Is it something that's not economic, but more on the cultural side with regard to the 2nd Amendment, immigration, religion, etc.?
Older people are always the most politically engaged.
The GOP lawmakers in the House and Senate, many of them built their careers on Obamacare's repeal and replace. Trump ran on that in 2016.
I'm seeing similarites to the Tea Party movement in 2010s.
I served tours of duty in the military myself. I not only have no tattoos, but we were required annually to not engage in sexual assault/harassment of any kind because when I was in it was a serious issue within the ranks.
I was deployed four times myself when I was in. The issue of sexual assault in the military is not a joke. When I was in, it was a serious issue within the ranks. We were required to attend annual training about it.
Bernie about Platner,

“In all due respect, all right, what I'm worried about, 50,000 Americans may die unnecessarily? And you're worried about a tattoo?"

When I asked about his comments about sexual assault, he said "Have you served four tours of duty?" I said "I have not."

Bernie: "Ok"
The Budapest meeting may have been cancelled, but doesn't change the fact that this administration's incompetence and inconsistency has only caused this conflict to drag, more people being killed, and our allies questioning American credibility.
U.S. President Trump announced a new summit with Putin in Budapest, saying Secretary of State Marco Rubio will lead preparatory talks.

"Putin and I will meet to see if we can end the war between Russia and Ukraine." - Trump said, adding that today’s call "brought great progress."
Love this song. The Diary of Alicia Keys is my favorite album from her.
And that's the issue. Whenever he is about to do the right thing for Ukraine and SAYING he'll pressure Russia, all it takes is a phone call with Putin, with the flattery for Trump to change his tune. He's too susceptible to flattery and maniuplation.
This inconsistency confuses Russia, Ukraine and NATO countries. That's why nine months into this administration we are nowhere near an end to the war because of the administration's incompetence in how they are handling this.
The biggest problem I'm seeing from the administration's foreign policy toward the Ukraine-Russia war is the inconsistency. The president and administration has a merry go round, where they say and do the right things for Ukraine, but after a call with Putin, they take the pro Russia stance.

Our military is people.

Enlisted members serve under contract. They can’t simply quit or choose which orders to follow.

Outside of combat itself, refusing an unlawful order is one of the most dangerous acts other than surrendering to an enemy. It is truly a matter of guilty until proven innocent.
Ratings and profits. It’s that simple.
But, but Trump promised that on day one he would start lowering the prices for Americans.
Very unfortunate to what is happening with the green energy industry, but this should serve as a lesson for Americans the next time they go to the polls. Last year was a classic example that elections do have consequences. 77 million people are getting what they voted for.
With the tech companies going back to the Bay area, how's that going to affect the already very high cost of living there?
This is the reason legacy media has proven their irrelevance.
Most followers here don't give about the demented president. Please stop sharing and posting this crap.
Once again shows how much Putin can manipulate him every time they’re on the phone.
Shows just how easily he can be manipulated by anyone who he last speaks to.
