Hundreds of CDC employees found out on Friday night they were being fired as part of widespread layoffs across federal agencies.

But within 24 hours, roughly half were reinstated—mirroring firings at various health agencies earlier this year that were deemed a mistake and quickly reversed.

Trump has cancelled $18B of spending in blue states. He fired more than 4,000 federal employees the same day he sent $20B to Argentina. He is propping up the government of the guy on the left, while firing government officials working for the guy on the right. But those employees also work for us!

It has Star Trek branding, but whether or not something is worth your kids attention should be based on its content and what it does for them as little humans rather than whether it boosts a particular brand perception (nominally).

Give them anything else, and in particular your time.

I *really* don't feel good about Star Trek Scouts (as an educator and soon to be uncle) when the show's content is exclusively "which marketable product solve an extremely obvious problem" based on AI recommendations.

Sadly, it's consumer propaganda by end-stage capitalism.

Does a jetski go with space buggers? If your child needs this as a lesson, you need to spend more time with them and interact with the physical world instead of giving said child over to an unsupervised ipad.
