Remember when Helen Joyce was called out as "not an expert" by Australian courts - Now Maya Forstater has been told the same in the Peggie judgment! 👏👏👏

The judgement states outright that the evidence submitted by her & Sex Matters was “not skilled evidence.”

This is the Tribunal’s exact wording!

When you made a manifesto pledge to reduce energy bills, but also made a series of foolhardy promises to build new nuclear power plants
‘Troubled Hinkley Point C #nuclear will add £1bn annually to UK energy bills as soon as it’s switched on, official figures show. The money will be taken from consumers and handed to the French owner #EDF.'

Polling basics is you don’t let your cohort self select like this. More appalling bullshit journalism laundering government bullshit form the BBC
Interesting thing to take away here.

BBC asked 5000 doctors to take part in a survey about overdiagnosis of mental health conditions. Only 15% of them responded.

And what do you think the belief will be of that 15% who specifically wanted to respond to a study into overdiagnosis? 🤔

The line here that made my ears prick up (and should really spook Labour) is the third one (that we need “fair and managed” migration). That’s not the answer of someone who has come to get his 12 per cent. That’s a much more “no, when I say I want to replace Labour, I’m not coming to play” line.
Zack Polanski, "Labour are a government of cowards because you won't tell people the truth about migration"

"Migration is a positive thing for our country"

"We need migration"

"We need fair and managed migration"

"And that's what will change this conversation"

GB News invited someone onto The Camilla Tominey Show (no, me neither) who accused a Muslim humanitarian charity of funding terrorism. Which was outrageous, and untrue, and so they got sued.

Well, they've entered the Find Out phase.

To be clear, @bhgreens.bsky.social are already targeting both Hove and Kemptown at the next general election. But it's nice to have confirmation from Britain Elects that this is a good idea!
This is big.

@britainelects.com model has been very reliable in the past, and is now predicting ALL THREE Brighton & Hove seats to go Green at the next general election.

We know Chris Ward is worried in Kemptown, but Peter Kyle should watch out in Hove too

Wes Streeting orders review of mental health diagnoses as benefit claims soar
Health secretary has asked experts to investigate whether normal feelings have become ‘over-pathologised’ The health secretary, Wes Streeting, has ordered a clinical review of the diagnosis of mental health conditions, according to reports. Streeting is understood to be concerned about a sharp rise in the number of people making sickness benefits claims because of diagnoses for mental illness, autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), the Times reported. He has asked leading experts to investigate whether normal feelings have become “over-pathologised”, the newspaper said, as he seeks to grapple with the 4.4 million working-age people now claiming sickness or incapacity benefit. The figure has risen by 1.2 million since 2019, while the number of 16 to 34-year-olds off work with long-term sickness because of a mental health condition is said to have grown rapidly in the same period. Streeting told the Times he knew from “personal experience how devastating it can be for people who face poor mental health, have ADHD or autism and can’t get a diagnosis or the right support”. He added: “I also know, from speaking to clinicians, how the diagnosis of these conditions is sharply rising. “We must look at this through a strictly clinical lens to get an evidence-based understanding of what we know, what we don’t know, and what these patterns tell us about our mental health system, autism and ADHD services. “That’s the only way we can ensure everyone gets timely access to accurate diagnosis and effective support.” The review, which is expected to be launched on Thursday, is set to be led by Prof Peter Fonagy, a clinical psychologist at University College London specialising in child mental health, with Sir Simon Wessely, a former president of the Royal College of Psychiatry, acting as vice-chair. Keir Starmer

He could have overturned the injustice of the flawed Supreme Court any time, but CHOSE not to. So he is responsible for these girls being harmed. There’s a word for adults who harm children.
