Can a nation organized and governed such as ours endure? A whole world looks to see what we will do. We cannot fail their trust. We cannot fail to try.
LOL! Speaking of BAD actors Mr. @benmank77.bsky.social. Don’t even get me started on the WB/DC apostasy here! #tcmparty youtu.be/AznfzIGBfw4?...

This has been episode 243,187 of "Cats Aren't Idiots, But Humans Are."
In Chicago’s war on rats, it looks like feral cats either lack a certain killer instinct or they’re extremely picky eaters, according to a new study from Lincoln Park Zoo’s Urban Wildlife Institute.

That’s probably a good thing for the cats. https://to.wttw.com/4a05fKJ

JUST IN: Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeffrey Snell just confirmed, at the prodding of U.S. Magistrate Judge Keri Holleb Hotaling, that this motion for dismissal followed a "no bill" from a grand jury.

That means the grand jury refused to indict.
U.S. prosecutors in Chicago are dropping another case tied to Operation Midway Blitz, "without prejudice."

It's USA v. Nathan Griffin. Below is the motion, followed by excerpts from the complaint.

The feds don't say why they're dropping it, but they had until today to secure an indictment.

a very good point
It’s striking how many of the most mundane features of American democracy, built centuries ago to protect against remembered tyrants from centuries prior, are still the bulwark against Trumpian fascism, while all the newfangled modern institutions simply collapsed on first contact with him

Wishing them every success. Chicago has a wealth of "alternative/art house/repertory" movie venues. However, @musicboxtheatre.bsky.social is the only one that seems to advertise, promote, communicate, generate social media buzz, AND show movies I want to see, WHEN I WANT TO SEE THEM.
As many movie theaters struggle, Chicago’s Music Box is expanding into Minnesota and adding a third screen in Lake View. “We seem to be doing something right here,” Music Box’s co-owner and CEO Brody Sheldon said.
Can Music Box CEO Brody Sheldon, a second-generation movie buff, build a mini-empire of historic theaters?

The results were the same.

A huge night for Democrats:

—They flip Miami's mayorship.
—They flip a state House district in Georgia that had voted Trump by 13%.
—They keep Albuquerque's mayorship, while the liberal faction flips city council.
—And they get big overperformances (+18 & +22) in 2 Florida specials.
