The ethnic cleansing program of the U.S. government exists outside of, and is not restrained by, any kind of law
Beyond depraved: "Hours after her detainment, court documents obtained by ABC News show that a federal judge ordered the government not to remove the 19-year-old from the U.S. and not to transfer her outside of Massachusetts. But Lopez Belloza was deported to Honduras the next day."

Every single congressional Democrat needs to be out there, right now, insisting that Pete Hegseth resign right now and announcing that he will be held accountable for committing war crimes.

If you do not demand accountability here and now, they will only become more emboldened.
Exclusive: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gave an order to “kill everybody” in the first strike on suspected drug boats in the Caribbean. After two men survived, the mission commander ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions, according to two sources.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth issued a verbal order to kill all crew members in the Sept. 2 strike on a suspected drug boat. Navy SEALs fired a second missile.

Melbourne CBD + more - includes my workplace - being turned into an actual police state for the next six months.

Among other things, the (nebulous but clearly unconstitutional) attack on naturalized US citizens contained in this screed is a significant escalation.
Trump: “I will permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries … denaturalize migrants who undermine domestic tranquility, and deport any Foreign National who is a public charge, security risk, or non-compatible with Western Civilization.“

Here's a long Thanksgiving listen if you wanna go ultra deep on the Caves of Qud endgame. The hosts & Brian/Caelyn are so insightful as always, but I'm also thankful they let me rattle on re: the teeming melange that went into the ending. This was the post-release exhale I needed. Hope you enjoy!

The Trump administration has reacted to a small scale lone wolf attack by in DC announcing a sweeping collective punishment, using the organs of government to heap blame on partisan rivals, and potentially dissuading anyone from collaborating with US forces abroad for a generation.

I wrote about "Quiet, Piggy," natalist movements, the denigration of women in authoritarian societies, the ways that women were treated not so long ago in the workplace (including me), and how you can push back against all that.

a landscape where one platform completely dominates the market and there is no real alternative will always give Valve permission to do whatever they want with no recourse for developers to do anything about it. this same type of behavior is how Apple completely fucked mobile games on the App store.

So much videogames discourse and wisdom is inherently poisoned by the fantasy of frictionless mass distribution. I totally get why but it’s such a haunting issue.

One of my fav podcast episodes we’ve ever done.

I believe this is the first time the team has publicly spoken in such depth about the Qud ending.

Big thanks to @ectafoole.bsky.social @jfg.land @unormal.bsky.social for their time, and for making one of my fav games ever.
