Carney to reporters: there won’t be a pipeline without a private investor.

This gets at the fundamentally flawed approach of the federal government: they are trying to find a policy solution to an identity problem.

It is part of the polarized, populist identity to be opposed to an Ottawa and Liberal Canada are not them. No policy will change that, as TMX revealed.

Bit in the book, Bob Lutz, one of the auto manufacturer bigwigs. 1st stab at a monster vehicle. Something like 7 of 10 people in a focus group loathed the model. But the 3 who loved it, loved it a lot. He realized if that percent bought the vehicle, would double its market share.

As always when I read about these monster trucks, I recommend Keith Bradsher's High & Mighty book from the early 2000s, detailing the rise of these beasts. A complete marketing ploy which debunks the notion of us as rational economic beings.

Why won’t The Atlantic give a platform to the folks who are trying to find and fund the next Sirhan Sirhan? Teach the controversy.
Over many interviews, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told Michael Scherer about how he plans to remake America’s public-health system. Can he lead the scientific establishment he’s spent much of his life crusading against?

“Cancellation limbo”: when you’re definitely not cancelled but not as celebrated as you used to be. This is one reason why “cancel culture” discourse is so tiresome: a lot of people are using it to mean “my life was affected in some negative way by my actions”

Teslas are the Stanley steamers of DeLoreans.
Dealership data shows that Tesla has only sold “just over” 100 cars in India since July, an exceedingly low number by any measure – especially when considering the India is now the most populous country in the world, with a population of just under 1.5 billion.
Tesla has sold ~100 cars since entering the world's largest country in July
After years of trying to enter the Indian market, Tesla finally opened its first store in July. It's not going great so far.

These 'experts' weighing in, not understanding how our PM is being 'strategically ambiguous' and playing the long game of 3D chess.
"I need to stand up in front of my UofT graduate students.. and undergraduate students in my Climate 101 course and explain this track record of backtracking on climate policy from the last six months:

Would you like to come to speak to my class to explain this, Mark Carney?"

Probably just incompetence, right?

"We think the way that public health has set this up is overly onerous and not flexible to meet the demands of patients going into pharmacies, and we would love to reform that ordering system.”

They should really call the mortuary. They have people in those places who can work wonders with semi warm skin.

Twice within seconds while I walked up Coxwell today, the Your Speed sign near Monarch Park Collegiate and Earl Haig PS, and not far past a now deactivated speed camera showed drivers were doing 70 in a 40 zone. It doesn't help that the lights at Hanson have been made much less pedestrian-friendly.
Right at the corner of Parkside and Howard Park.

No one with power was serious about protecting pedestrians here. There were years to fix Parkside Drive before Ford made it nearly impossible.
Pedestrian struck by motorist on Parkside a block from the speed camera that vigilantes kept tearing down that caused ford to remove them from all Ontario. Drive as you wish Ontario. Nobody matters. This is what you voted for.
