He has one of the most remarkable service records I have ever come across.

Yes they are coming for us particularly because we are Anglophone, and for the BBC particularly because it is a trusted Anglophone voice that people in the US can potentially look at
Be clear, the American far right are coming for British democracy.

British governments always vow to do two things: increase growth, and relentlessly attack everything that increases growth
I mean to the extent there is any "free money printer" left for the UK it's immigration; but by attacking ILR conservatives are now trying to destroy that last pillar of possible growth, since the immigrants with highest earning potential can afford to be more discerning as to where they go.

One of the dumbest ways to go extinct as a species really would be for our leaders to decide they have to mine coal and drill up oil not because we actually need them anymore but because they just refuse to accept that we don't.

You obviously can. What else would you call it
"By any sensible definition, 'racist' is a word you can't apply to someone who doesn't want Romanians living next door."

Says Fraser Nelson, who happily published Taki's Nazi fandom, racist liar Liddle, and white nationalist Douglas Murray.

Beyond satire.

Who thinks Reform is racist?
Keir Starmer has dropped the r-bomb. Was he wise to do so?

It has long been known that Mandelson remained close to Epstein even after he was convicted of sex offences.

He shouldn't have been appointed in the first place, and it is very clear that the Prime Minister must sack him immediately.

We either stand with victims or we don’t.

Some of the government's defenders on here are so crazy they really brighten up my day, frankly. Yep, seems plausible that the Sun *faked* the emails and Peter Mandelson went 'oh well, better go along with it'.

american popular conceptions of north vietnam are insanely racist, from like every angle
we've also totally forgotten that the North Vietnamese were being supported by the Eastern bloc and had one of the densest air defense networks in the world over Hanoi
I like how the Lost Causers but for Vietnam like to say if it weren’t for the media and losing public support at home, we could have won the war. I mean… no, I truly believe that even if they nuked it, the north and viet cong were not going to surrender, but that aside, the Lost Causers act as tho…

like ok but that's all elected officials and they better get used to it (or they can slash MPs salaries and watch no one unshady want to go into politics at all)

Britain, you've been warned.
