Having fought a long and despera- te war against the Empire it was only natural for the leaders and soldiers of the Rebel Alliance to turn their eyes to the future that the New Republic would provide. The years after Endor and Jak- ku were marked initially by hope and optimism. But the line between hope and blind hope is a dangerous one to walk. In the post-war years people be- came so determined to look forward that they did not spend nearly enough time looking back at what they had left behind. They tied themselves so tightly to the belief that this should never happen again that they neglected to ta- ke the steps to ensure that it could not. They did not understand the Galactic Empire. They did not understand how it had functioned, how it had operated and how it had ruled the galaxy. They did not comprehend why so many had served, seemingly voluntarily, within its ranks and perpetrated so many hei- nous crimes. They viewed the Empire as Emperor Palpatine and with him go- ne, SO too was his Empire. But that Im- perial ideology did not disappear over- night.

I was experimenting a bit while looking at the network tab. After refreshing the page, I can get an infinite scroll...but it appears that at some point the app just stops making calls to app.bsky.feed.getTimeline. So maybe the issue is long-lived page views?

I am here to prove to you that Mickey Mouse and his friends are magical demigods who are being carefully raised to be safe around everyday folk. This is documented thoroughly through three of their shows: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Mickey Mouse Funhouse, and Mickey Mouse Roadster Racers. Each show represents a phase in their godhood growth, from a safe training ground to multiverse adventures and finally blending into a normal society. Below, I will take you along in the examination of their growth, along with evidence from episodes and events supporting this magical evolution. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse — The Magical Nursery This is where it all begins. Mickey and his friends are young, powerful, and untrained. They live inside a magical, conjurable realm known as the Clubhouse, where problems are simple, consequences are low, and magic is everywhere. The entire setting is designed to safely introduce them to the act of altering reality, solving problems with whim, and shaping the world around them with care. Professor Von Drake acts as a guide here, a kind of magical tutor monitoring their growth. The Clubhouse only appears when Mickey says the magic words: "Meeska Mooska Mickey Mouse." If said incorrectly, the building begins to fall apart. This suggests the magic is real, specific, and bound to Mickey. The Crystal Mickey is revealed to be the Clubhouse's power source. When it's stolen, the house begins to sink. The gang retrieves it in a ritualistic adventure format. Toodles, originally a non-verbal tool delivery system, becomes sentient over time. Mickey's crew brings him to life with the help of Von Drake, hinting at their ability to imbue consciousness into magical constructs. Magic often causes unexpected consequences (like Goofy floating into the air uncontrollably or Daisy summoning dozens of brooms), but always within a safe context. This allows them to experiment freely without danger to the greater world. They often venture into theme worlds or imaginary realms (like "The Wizard of Dizz" or "Space Adventure"), offering low-stakes exposure to alternate realities. Mickey Mouse Funhouse — Multiverse Exposure Graduating from the Clubhouse, the gang meets Funny, a sentient magical playhouse who offers transport into other dimensions. This stage is all about magical self-regulation. The crew is given access to high-magic environments, magical artifacts, and living creatures of power. They are allowed to experience conflict and chaos with more direct consequences, but still within systems that recognize their inexperience. In the very first episode, Mickey calms a pie-stealing dragon named Farfus and befriends him. The situation could've led to a fight, but Mickey's magic (and vibe) alters the course. This is the beginning of the phrase "Mickey is everyone's friend." They are regularly transformed to fit into magical realms (into fairies, merfolk, superheroes, even genies). They adapt instantly and gain world-specific powers. Magic is both reactive and proactive here: they summon weather, animate snowmen, and cross between dimensions casually. Pete often appears in these worlds as a foil or chaos element (pirate, king, cowboy, etc.), seemingly tied to Mickey's developmental path. He challenges them just enough to provoke growth, but never enough to cause true harm. Mickey Mouse Roadster Racers — Testing Among Mortals This is the final stage (so far). Mickey and his friends now live in a mortal town, Hot Dog Hills. Magic here is subtle, disguised as technology or talent. This is the beta test: can they exist among non-magical beings without disrupting the world? Can they help, protect, and grow without bending reality in obvious ways? If Clubhouse was magical preschool and Funhouse was magical college, Roadster Racers is their entry-level godhood internship. The gang runs a garage and races in cars that transform, fly, and shift shape, all explained as "gadgets" from Von Drake. They solve real-world problems (lost pets, town parades, fixing machines) while keeping their powers hidden or disguised. Goofy accidentally performs real magic during a stage show but passes it off as part of the act. Daisy discovers her grandmother is secretly a superhero, hinting that others in this world may be magical or divine in hiding. Despite blending in, they still perform rituals like the Hot Dog Dance after successful missions, a quiet callback to their origins and shared power. Mickey’s influence continues to grow; his presence brings peace and structure to the town. People defer to him naturally, and when conflict arises, it’s always Mickey who resolves it first.
