STOP THE PRESSES.

The ROM for the unreleased Famicom RPG Splatter World has been released (in a thread on 4chan, of all places). I've tried it myself, and it does seem to be genuine. If it's a fake, it's a damn good one.

Expect (more) coverage on West Mansion soon.

also feel like every rpg maker 2000/2003 game from the early 2000s was trying to be this game lol
i feel like it is a cool visual novel with a messy experimental rpg kinda thrown on top of it (not a bad thing). All the towns remind me of Diary of a Spaceport Janitor (wonder if Xenogears was a an influence on it?)
playing xenogears for the first time; people complain about the 2nd disc being a big cutscene but i dont understand how they made it that far because the first disc is basically a big cutscene too? (im at the part where fei gets sent to prison and meets rico)
oooh! i think i remember some really early screen shots of another game with a character similar to this you were working on a long time ago? I really like the 3D environments here!
Ive taken a similar attitude in recent years, its the way to be imo

I've been bedridden for the last 10 months, unable to work as I try to get a surgeon and insurance lined up for my operation to let me work again.
If you could send a couple dollars, it'd really help. Time isn't on my side here, and waiting is very expensive.

AI is the asbestos we are shoveling into the walls of our society and our descendants will be digging it out for generations”
Having something timed wrong can throw the pacing of a scene off so badly. It is absolutely not as simple as dump the writing into text boxes.
When working on Labyrinth.os I think the most time consuming and frustrating part is programming the cutscenes tbh. So I feel this.
I dont blame people for feeling animosity towards this stuff(I do too!) that should have stayed as a dumb novelty and not the virus it's turned into in the last 2 years. But a lot of people's reaction is obviously a cover to continue being deviantart cops in the 2020s.
I had an anxiety when people started getting really militant about this stuff that it would turn into people accusing any art that isn't illustration or just any alternative digital art they don't like as AI, so its cool and normal that ended up being the case.

im thankfully at the very end of it I think. testing positive on rapid tests for nearly a month is crazy but I guess i am just old now.
I've only played the US ver. and the GBA port of that one, i don't know how they compare to the original japanese ver. but I did read the DS port's difficulty is the highest? A lot of the bosses have added gimmicks.
I caught Covid19 for the first time over 4 weeks ago and still recovering. While recovering i've been playing the DS version of FF4 recently which might be the hardest final fantasy game i've ever played.
It is absolutely a saturday morning cartoon adventures game. It is not something you need to binge while playing which might be antithesis to some gaming tendencies. I played the original over the course of a couple of years and had a blast everytime i picked it up.
