I made this. You know, by hand, the old-fashioned way. Well, on a computer, so not totally old-fashioned, but at no point was a robot involved. So I guess that makes it old-timey. Even if it's brand new today. #musiciansky #musicsky #music #indie #synthpop #alternative

Learning how to use a different DAW (digital audio workstation) today and it's insane how different they can be. Bitwig has some loopy workflows vs Reaper, but also some features that are really nice. Anyway, I'm about 2/3 of the way through this mix and I've brought the CPU to its knees, as usual

Perhaps, though if you needed 12kg of satay sauce, Costco probably has you covered 😂

I just find them hilariously big. Some times I only want to buy a small trolley's worth of stuff, but I gotta lug around this thing I could almost fit a car in

Apparently so... bsky.app/profile/foxy...

That is the exact amount needed to fill a paddling pool and no one wants crunchy in their butt crack

The Costco peanut butter is actually pretty good, and it's by far the best value one out there
danxduran.bsky.social
Was at Costco earlier and saw a woman with nothing in her stupid American-sized trolley except six 1.8kg tubs of smooth peanut butter

I guess the numbers say that this is the best tweet I ever made. I didn't think it was too bad but seems a bit excessive

Even if I don't remember the exact numbers, I can retrieve them by acting out the pattern with my dialling fingers

If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.
Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?
2? Questions
I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

Probably not a device it will work o wen at all now

The fuck? Really? That's... Understandable. But hilarious

There's no way it would have meant you could put the tape in backwards or upside down... the tape read heads were in one place! Hang on...

Job occupations, from an 1881 census. Every one of these sounds like something a sorely provoked Captain Haddock would should at someone in times of heavy stress.

Doing a cleanout, found this. Mr 12 first asked what it was, and on being told it was an unopened blank VHS tape, asked to watch it...

God I wish I was one of those people that knew how to / felt comfortable doing promo. Honestly, this rules - yet no one's gonna hear it lol.

This song took literally 24 years to make it from an acoustic guitar demo, to this... probably my best production yet, in terms of the sonics. Anyway, it's from a whole-ass new album, recorded at the same time as the last one. Out soon.

'Vita Brevis, Part 2' is out next week... here's a sneak preview. The song is called 'Except' and I guess it would appeal to fans of New Order/Depeche Mode anecdata.bandcamp.com/track/except Preorder the album here: anecdata.bandcamp.com/album/vita-b...

I dunno Torpedo7... You sure you want to know the answer? Considering I had to use the courts to get you to fix your (what could easily have been fatal) mistake...

Home page comes through the news CMS, but that only creates a link that fires users through to Life. Though I understand it's not as smooth a process in the app at present (I'm not sure - I'm a heathen and have no news apps on my phone because they never shut the hell up, just use browser 😂)

You might notice the life stories actually look completely different to news ones - they're literally built in a different CMS, while news is still on the old system. IT taking their time to get the new CMS right, ironing out kinks using the new life section
danxduran.bsky.social
It's in the life section, not news - but stories don't get visibility/traction unless they get front page coverage, even if just for a short while. Part of it is the website backend is ancient and past its use-by, but it's getting replaced bit by bit
