If Dems did this, it would be (rightly!) reported unceasingly as a threat to Democracy as we know it. There'd be a huge bipartisan coalition fighting it overnight.

I am surprised that people are mad at her about this? If anything, she should have been more firm instead of sounding squishy with, "I don't wanna have a negative experience with you."
Repentance is deep change, wholesale rejection of the old ways, wholesale embrace of new attitudes, behaviors, and (sometimes) relationships. It's exactly what we need from these people.
