For all I know it's been done, but I'm kind of skeptical because it would be very difficult to control for confounding variables. Kids who don't go to college are already different from the kids who do, and for reasons that don't have much to do with college itself.

When you focus on the expression of ideas--clarity, coherence, and using words correctly--this whole book actually compares pretty unfavorably to that recent anti-trans essay from OU. (The OU essay had very bad ideas, but the writing was pretty easy to parse, didn't induce schizophrenia.)

Are you finished already? I've got a crank theory that she thinks "canto" means "circle of Hell," and that explains the otherwise nonsensical title. I'm wondering if that seems plausible to somebody who's actually read it.

I have an assignment where students save sources to OneDrive, write annotations for each source, and submit the annotations along with links to the sources. I give them videos showing them exactly how to do it. I'm always shocked how many students still can't create and insert a link.

As a reader this doesn't bother me a bit as long as the paragraph works in both places. But I think it's an issue for publishers who are paying for original work.
