one thing that has been obvious for a while is this aspect of the authoritarian internationale: they recognize that their allies abroad are not *countries* but *political movements* within foreign countries.

Or maybe, just maybe, what was obvious in 2024 was correct: Netanyahu fully backed Trump and would not deal with Biden because Trump would give him a free hand to escalate the starvation, bombing, and do full ethnic cleansing. Which he then did, until Netanyahu embarrassed him by bombing Qatar.

I do see that the answer to my original question about how long the Israeli's could keep doing daily bombing is a while, accounting for the substitution of precision weapons for dumb bombs. So thank you for informing me.

It took the Israeli's until after the election to build said bombs, and the IAF uses precision weapons for their increased effectiness, not to protect the civillians of Gaza. If they had to go back to barrel bombs or other inferior munitions the IDF would have taken more casualties and this

Alright my mistake I assumed the modern aircraft would be more maintanance intensive. What of Israel's heavy bombs though? They only started producing them this year and they where irreplaceable to Israel's campaign agaisnt Hezbollah.

Yeah, we probably shouldn't be so suprised though. It was known Hamas had been regenerating and that without the implementation of a day-after plan they would probably return to power. Additionally while Hamas has killed relatively few IDF soldiers recently, www.reuters.com/world/middle...

I do not believe they could have kept going, they certainly could not have demolished Hezbollah in the 2024 Israeli invasion of Lebanon which changed the power balance of the region.

Between the "Gaza War" section of that article consisting only of references to the clan being killed by IDF forces and this passage from the article above I'm leaning towards the claim of them being IDF affilates being false.
Last month, said Nizar Dughmush, the head of a prominent tribe in Gaza City, he was contacted by a militiaman who claimed he was an intermediary from the Israeli military. “He said the Israelis wanted us to take charge of a humanitarian zone in Gaza City, that we should recruit as many of our family members as we could, and they would provide logistical support, like arms, food and shelter,” Dughmush said. But Dughmush refused their offer, saying his family were civilians, and that though they were not affiliated with Hamas, they had no interest in being “tools of the occupation.” Two days later, Dughmush said, Israeli warplanes began pounding the tribe’s neighborhood, killing more than 100 members of his clan. Dughmush claims Israeli forces entered the neighborhood 48 hours later and systematically destroyed every house. Advertisement “All of this is vengeance against us because we refused to cooperate,” he said. Two other clans, Dayri and Bakr, were approached in a similar fashion and had their areas attacked after rejecting Israel’s offer. “I’m talking to you now as a displaced person, along with what’s left of my clan, all of us spread out in different parts of Gaza,” Dughmush said.
