I totally agree with you that the fundamental question is what do we want transit to do? An expensive study, carried out by consultants, but never actually released, recommended making a transit link to the Dinky station.

The funding just isn't there for higher frequency than 45-min headways.

He is a Senior Vice President of multiple Gulfs?

There will be a community gathering Wednesday evening in Hinds Plaza in Princeton to mark the end of the fighting in Gaza and honor the returned hostages. Sponsored by Unity Through Understanding. Starts 6 p.m.

I am very skeptical that it will get people out of their cars. I really hate to be a downer, but I just don't this line is going to get much of a ridership. This part of the world is just very hard to serve with transit.

There is certainly not a shortage of farms in New Jersey. Good luck growing stuff in that red clay!!

A shitshow. If another big storm comes in, it will be a literal shitshow.

Also, they are very reluctant to put anything in email format because it can be used against them in court or federal investigations.

Our university is too disorganized to provide top-down guidance!!

I think that the AAA is publishing some "Moving Truck Survey"-style biased statistics. Maybe their disproportionately-wealthy members are spending that much on cars, but I don't think it is representative of the average person.

I don't know, but, I doubt it? MetLife is in the middle of nowhere, I don't think there would be any opposition to running lots of concerts there...

Nope, just sales tax. If you own an electric vehicle, you have to pay $260 extra per year, but for a regular car, annual fees are just $35 / year.

The Beyoncé shows are probably better than the football on offer.

$815 registration also seems insane. A 1-year vehicle registration in New Jersey is $35.

Average mileage is 14,200, average cost of gas is $3.08 so if we assume 25 mpg, that is $1,749. $2,235 seems high.

Tiger I get. I have heard of 'Tiger Woods'. Being called 'Lion' seems unusual.

That's presumably the number of households that reported having that many. Who knows what the real figure is.

Looking forward to her next policy announcement: "On Day 1 in office, I will sign an order saying that there will only be sunny days from now on in New Jersey" / "Under a Sherrill administration, Rutgers Football will be good."

Yeah, that looks reasonable. I have managed to cut my fuel costs to $0 by running an EV powered by rooftop solar.

Depreciation is the big one then. By starting off with a $15K used car, I am missing out on a lot of that. I also think that $38K is a lot to spend even on a new car, but I realize that many people do this.

This is in the same category as her previous daft idea to put a cap on electricity prices (which are set by regional markets). It may not matter whether she can or can't do it, it's all just signaling.

Quite possibly true, but the main building also has a similar 'coffer' style to the ceiling
