We’re hearing helicopters and word is spreading of massive ICE raids tomorrow and Friday particularly in Gwinnett. These excessive raids put all of us in danger. Spread the word, look out for each other, and remember your rights.

I'm bagging more whistles up into bags of 250! I have about 1500 right now, and I've got one or two printers just on 24/7 whistle duty now.

If you're part of an org bagging whistles, I will send them to you for free! 💕

I have this cousin who lives in Charlotte and is a corporate real estate agent. His dad is a retired cardiologist. His mom was from a SUPER wealthy family - her dad was an NYPD commissioner, she owned horses all her life, she had an inheritance for my cousin. They lived in a Virginia mansion.

I fell asleep early, woke up around 11:30, dozed in and out until like 3. I’m now anticipating a two hour delay and that should be announced soon so I don’t want to try to sleep just to wake up for my alarm and then get the delay notice. 😩

John Oliver's season finale was great, glad he focused on public media, and how important it is to fund. Red states tend to benefit from it the most.

He has an auction site up to help raise money, johnoliversjunk.com, which even has an actual Bob Ross painting on it (but it's at 1 million).

Remember the recent middle-of-the-night apartment building raid where children were dragged outside naked & zip-tied in the street while black & Latino residents were _sorted by race_ and piled into separate vans while their apartments were ransacked & robbed? That raid? So it resulted in 0 arrests.

Charlotte friends, if you know an org that needs whistles, you know who to call. 💕
I'm seeing people wonder why ICE is going after Charlotte.

ICE has been at war with Charlotte's sheriff ever since he won in 2018.

We'd covered this at Bolts back in the day; this quote is from that sheriff:
“When the 8 African American sheriffs took over the largest counties in North Carolina, it became a threat to the good ol’ boy system,” says the sheriff of Charlotte. These new sheriffs broke ties with ICE.

But GOP lawmakers cracked down this week, overbidding the governor’s veto to adopt this law:

It’s useful for people of my generation to be reminded that this wasn’t that long ago. Ruby Bridges isn’t just still alive—she’s only 71, not ancient!
65 years ago on Nov. 14, little Ruby Bridges was escorted into an all-white elementary school in New Orleans. Norman Rockwell, renowned for blissful depictions of Americana, did this remarkable painting for Look magazine. Printed as a double page, over-size spread, it's his masterpiece.
