I just saw a video of them literally chasing ICE through the woods with whistles because they’ve been trying to hide in the woods for some reason. I’m not sure they realize it’s almost hunting season and they’re in camo.

I think people active on social media tend to pick up on these stories and I think they’ll get more and more coverage as that happens. But let’s all make sure we don’t assume things about our southern friends as ICE moves down there. And let’s make sure their resistance isn’t lost either.

I even saw a video of a woman yelling at an illegal traffic stop and ICE officers pointed their guns at her. I’ve heard stories of 70 year olds with handguns scaring ICE away.

But it’s Charlotte. It’s North Carolina. It’s the South. That doesn’t fit The Idea of what should happen.

And I keep thinking about that as I think about how relatively little coverage we’ve seen about Charlotte’s people fighting ICE. I’ve seen videos of white ladies waiting at bus stops to help kids get home and 30,000 kids walked out of the Charlotte public school district.

I tend to dismiss him as one of many my conservative relatives who live in the south now. But his wife, a Southern born former sorority girl with a wealthy family, quietly posts things to her Facebook stories sometimes. She recently posted a guide on how to help Latinx neighbors in Charlotte.

And my cousin was an only child and he got his degree in history because he was never going to have to worry about money. He’s 11-12 years older than me, so I never knew him super well and he stopped visiting as much when his mom died when I was 7.

I can’t believe I finally understand the appeal of monopolies. Maybe we SHOULDN’T have so many options, actually.

Well we did not get a 2 hour delay and I also may have started snacking around 4 so I’m not hungry and it’s gonna be a real long day with no breakfast and no sleep!

Also I only paid like $24,000 for this car - as a brand new car - so I can’t believe my insurance has already had to put over $8,000 into it IN ONE YEAR from these two freak accidents. 😅

(I did some math and the last time I had to get my windshield replaced, it took about 10 or 11 weeks from my claim to actually getting a windshield. This time it took like 10 or 11 days. 🤷🏼‍♀️)
