We can’t push ourselves the way non disabled people can. Our bodies NEED more rest.

Pushing only leads to setbacks, further illness and worst of all - a reduction in baseline.

Baseline is everything when you’re chronically ill. It must be protected at all costs /7

Bhattacharya is one of the architects of a failed herd immunity strategy reliant on mass infection, arguing against infection controls, including vaccines.

Although not explicitly anti-vax, Bhattacharya has cast doubt on the necessity/safety of vaccinating young folks + made allies of anti-vaxxers.

Thank God Merrick Garland waited nearly 2 years to appoint Jack Smith because, after all, nothing is more important than preventing the optics of politicization.

Great thread that leads to me charging $30 for a caprese salad in a restaurant to maintain margins, & not having a workforce to serve it because the immigration system will be even more broken than it is now.
You see it, right?

Trump told his supporters tariffs were about making stuff in America, about American jobs, about lowering costs for Americans. All bullshit, of course, but it sounded good to the MAGAs, even if Trump's own advisors kept telling him it wouldn't work.

The irony is here is that this fake department has its sites on NPR
Listening to @npr.org Up First this morning I got pissed when they didn't clarify that Musk and Ramaswamy’s fake “department” is in fact not a real government department. They are supposed report accurately, not help the admin launder stupidity. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/u...

If you still have a Twitter or threads account, start encouraging more people to join Blue Sky, especially if you are European. Twitter (X) is being used to manipulate elections globally and suppress information.

Post at least once a day, encouraging others to join. #bluesky

Every single time. UBI works *and* it saves money. But no, we can't do this because we hate poor people so much that we would rather waste money than alleviate any suffering.
Denver gave people experiencing homelessness $1k/month. A year later, nearly half had housing.

They also had fewer ER visits, nights spent in a hospital, and jail stays.

The report estimates that this reduction in public service use SAVED the city $589k.

Participants in Denver's basic-income program reported having more-secure housing, though results were similar in the trial and control groups.

What are some accessible Infosec & Opsec resources that activists, journalists, and organizers can turn to in preparation for the Trump admin?

Preparing for a fascist regime can feel scary and paralyzing. This seems like an area where people can take control w/ concrete steps.

Agreed.
The Supreme Court made up the “presidents are immune from criminal law” thing out of mid air. Just completely fabricated. I can’t get over this.
I have been in the hospital with a small bowel obstruction since Sunday. There is a critical shortage of IV fluids in th US. They just stopped my fluids. I still have an NGT in and am unable to eat or drink anything. My NGY output is still significant. As a former nurse I don't feel safe.

So damn wrong!

The highest ranking person our Govt should be held to the HIGHEST scrutiny, and be MOST accountable for their abuse of power.

Why do we do this the other way around?!?! It’s like our lawmakers want Democracy to fail. 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

One thing that is glaringly obvious to anyone paying attention: The institutional media is being purchased and controlled by American oligarchs, and as such, can no longer be relied upon to carry out it's responsibility as the 4th estate.
