Was listening to William Walton/Dame Edith Sitwell "Façade" on Amazon Music & realized it was a vinyl transfer. Searched online & found it on archive dot org as a digital transfer. It sounds gorgeous.

I've heard Stravinsky's Rite of Spring since I was quite young, maybe literally at my mother's knee. I realized listening now that every part of it as familiar as the Beatles albums I wore out as a kid in the 1960s.

Weird to have that relationship with music this complex and irreducibly strange.

My niece & nibling subjected me to every YT video by Knower. They start from 70s baroque jazz rock fusion, but with the manic abandon of Melt Banana.

Gen Artadi's sounds like a Nouvelle Vague chanteuse singing deadpan in the eye of a hurricane.

I guess more than a few BlueSky-ers want you to know they know how to bake a potato
My microwave died and I didnt want to fry potatoes --and have to wash a pan, so I just foil wrapped a few and baked them in the oven like my great granny used to and whooooo damn! Why are they so much better like this?

I didn't take many photos on a family visit in upstate NY, but I did notice that these old naughahide chairs cushions look like the writing on black metal album covers.

He wasn't kidding about in that 5th avenue quote.

Maybe his guiding principle in life is that he wants to kill people and get away with it.
This IS the result of the Supreme Court of the United States of America giving the most amoral person in America immunity from his crimes.

Crimes that stack up daily.

Including 115 counts of 1st-degree murder of unarmed civilians suspected of crimes not punishable by the death penalty.

The way this is frankensteined together it sounds almost Autechre-esque at moments, but since it's Skrillex it manages to be irritatingly conventional even as it tries to sound cutting edge.

The Ableton metronome at the end is cringey too. It's like having Clippy do a verse.

I have known this album well since its release 27 years ago, but listening now I notice how melodic & emotional it is. The track sequence gives it a chamber suite feeling. They go somewhere, that "somewhere" being Drane2, which is endless & epic.

@nytimes.com stop normalizing fascism
Typically the last thing that people put on before leaving the house, a coat is often also what gives a first impression of someone’s style to others — especially come wintertime, when we bundle up. Our photographer documented the outwear on the streets of New York. See the photos. nyti.ms/3LDi4Rh

I wonder if they have trouble finding graphic artists & designers willing to realize their idiocy, so they use Grok.
I automatically judge any use of #AISlop for ads or social media posts. It means you're too stupid to know how shitty & fly-by-night it makes you look. A Govt agency posting this means they've lost the plot entirely, though we could already tell that by their actions.

Absolutely true anecdote: a group of dudes I hung out & smoked w33d with in high school had a running gag of adding "sk" to the end of words, e.g. "Close the fucking doorsk!"

They contended "Sk" is the sound your dick makes when you ejaculate.
it's a shame that when a dude c*ms there isn't a little gurgling sound like in those desktop rock fountains

Back in the 1970s I had a friend who had a page in his diary where he'd listen to this and write down the lyrics he heard in it. The repetition brings on auditory hallucinations.
