So interesting point that I couldn’t help check into: for those curious / worried, I suspect the QEII’s new robot, the Intuitive da Vinci Xi, while having extremely positive mechanical benefits, is not an AI tool.

A relief if you’ve read the Reuters Article today.

I'm sure my students would LOVE your positive and constructive feedback. They would love to know that they're not screaming into the void, that people read their stuff and think it's cool, too! So I'm going to start posting my Medium blog, created specifically for this course, here.

My first post:
Welcome to the BIOL 2321 Cell Biology Class Blog!
This space is dedicated to showing off my students! This semester there are two writing assignments as part of the Cell Biology class…

🇨🇦 Canadians, in case you missed it: there's a petition collecting signatures to ask that the federal government intervene to protect access to healthcare for trans people in provinces who have restricted it (eg Alberta's egregious use of the notwithstanding clause): www.ourcommons.ca/petitions/en...

One of the most difficult things you will navigate if you develop a serious illness/disability (before you're retirement home aged) is every corner of society is telling you to "just go away". Everyone--government and even many folks you counted as friends--wants you to be someone else's problem.
Folks need to examine philosophically why it is that—in the span of just a couple of years—the leaders of the American Democratic, Canadian Liberal & British Labour Parties have all gone all in on assisred suicide (while making healthcsre harder to attain) www.cityandstateny.com/policy/2025/...

Effective December 18, Nova Scotia Health is requiring everyone to wear a mask in their facilities. 👏👏👏

Please protect yourselves and others during this season of illness by wearing a mask, staying home when sick, getting vaccinated, and increasing ventilation & filtration.

I will say that I find it very shady and mildly undemocratic that the Liberals are trying to obtain a majority they weren’t elected on through floor crossings

That and minority governments are better for democracy due to the compromise they necessitate

OH WELL
BREAKING: Conservative MP Michael Ma is crossing the floor to sit as a Liberal.

Liberals are now just one seat short of a majority.
