Masterful. Not a word wasted.
If Pete Hegseth was drunk when he ordered the second strike on the Venezuelan sailors, then he cannot be held accountable for their deaths.

Good reminder that Trump was guilty of an egregious crime simply in Georgia, let alone the rest of the country, and should have served a significant stint in prison. www.theatlantic.com/newsletters/...

We are not at war with Venezuela, yet. The boats are civilian craft. The U.S. criminal code does not maintain a death penalty for drug smuggling. Due process is required before conviction or sentence.

All of the 80 people killed thus far are wanton murders slain under illegal orders. All of them.

No, @apnews.com, just no. Not Krasnoarmeysk. There is no such city in Ukraine.
The Associated Press is now apparently prioritizing Russian place names for Ukrainian towns. The town in question is called Pokrovsk, regardless of what the Kremlin may or may not prefer - suggesting otherwise legitimizes Russia's invasion

I have been saying and will keep saying that Trump and his people are vulnerable to an opponent who embodies a certain style of masculinity. When Kelly called them in unserious, he basically called into question their manhood.
Kelly: He runs around on stage talking about lethality and the warrior ethos.. That’s not the message that should be coming from the Secretary of Defense… He runs around on a stage like he’s a 12 year old playing army. It’s embarrassing.

I think what they are trying to do is set up Hegseth too in the end. Not for charges, but get rid of him. "He doesn't have control of his people."
Yes and yikes. Still, there is an obligation not to obey clearly illegal orders. It is literally in the textbook not to fire upon enemy survivors clinging to a shipwreck. The officer knew or should have known what he was doing was illegal (and wrong). He had a duty to refuse an illegal command.
