*lighthearted video about pronouncing Texas city names*

That Guy in the comments, yes he’s white and from a place like Des Moines, and no he won’t see that irony either:

THAT IS INCORRECT BC BOSQUE IS A SPANISH WORD MEANING FOREST AND IS PRONOUNCED BOSS-KAY. IT IS A MASCULINE NOUN SO YOU SAY EL BO

crazy to think about how few people youd have to feed into a woodchipper to make the world a substantially better place

This is BARELY an exaggeration.

It is actually and literally routine for the packages to have obvious typos.

Having said that, I am of course fascinated by gas station boner pills and why people take them.

I came upon a video wherein Australians were dumping on grits and assuming they’re gross (it’s just porridge and an excuse to eat cheese and butter) and to that I say:

I will never be made to care about the food opinions of a people who willingly eat vegemite. It tastes like a rotten swamp foot.

People are incapable of nuance, especially around anything that involves weight. Not all uses of Ozempic are bad, and GLP-1s are not “lazy.” ALL eating disorders are bad and potentially lethal. This isn’t difficult.

If only people were half as concerned about eating disorders as they are about Ozempic imagine where we might be culturally

If I can convince you of one thing, let it be this: our government lies about drugs all the time, and has for decades. Especially to manufacture consent for terrorist acts domestically and abroad.

Venezuela is not a major drug exporter to the US. They just aren’t.
The so-called “war” with Venezuela was supposedly about stopping drugs… yet they’re out there seizing an oil tanker.

I think in thirty years when the full story about what’s going on with Trump and his health and who actually is in charge and how they’re hiding everything and what is happening behind the scenes comes out it is going to be so, so, so, so much worse then we are imagining.

DEATH TO MIDTEMPO.

(ok yeah, slight exaggeration, but GOD.)

Ballads are plaintive, emotive, and captivating. Uptempo has urgency, pressure, and fun. It’s a *pulse*.

Midtempo is the millennial gray of music and there should be less of it. Pick a tempo on purpose.

Be brave enough to publish your negative data.

Stand up and say “it didn’t work”. It’s hot when people do that. It has big “I’m such an incredible scholar and thinker that negative data has no inherent emotional value to me bc I’m on a WHOLE DIFFERENT LEVEL” ok

1/ It was the height of the pandemic, but Phoebe Putney Memorial had good news: At 99 years old, Maude Burke was the oldest COVID-19 patient they were discharging.

In a video, staff waved balloons, celebrating Burke beating the disease.

There was one issue: It wasn’t true. 🧵
