Hey, I want to offer some helpful tips for coping with the cold for ICE folks who might have come from warmer places.
1. Wear cotton socks! Cotton is nice and soft next to your skin and will absorb your sweat so your feet stay warm. Cotton everything but ESPECIALLY socks!

Hotdish a big success, having all 3 kids together a bigger success. Man, I missed how fun they all are when together.

She cleared the DR table (usually full of pill bottles and other Schmoop detritis) and laundered both boys' bedding along w/ usual stuff. She'll come back for Hotdish when boys are here. Will be nice 2b all together.

Yep. Assume my RL name is Cinnamon (It's not), I grew up being called Cinny, decided as an adult to be Cin. My dad never got it, my mom tried (good when writing, slipped verbally, I get it). Sibs mixed results. Oddly, one sis refused to care until trans rights mattered, then she got it. #ItsNotHard

I plugged my phone in 4 hrs ago, didn’t realize until now that it wasn’t charging. Now I have to stay up until it charges to a decent point that will carry me thru till I get to work tomorrow. Sigh. I’m tired.

Attending a memorial tomorrow for an acquaintance who passed away of a heart attack at 47. Our kids were the same ages: the oldest (girls, close in JrHigh) are now 29, older sons were besties in Elem, younger sons were a yr apart w/ shared interests. Group slumber parties, etc. Those poor kids.

Y'all, I'm getting the porch steps and decking replaced, and two handrails for the steps! And it sounds like they can get it done yet this fall!
And I didn't have to bully the Schmoop; he knew it's what I really wanted. Love that guy!

I've hated this porch material since it was installed 18yrsago - doesn't match the house, it's slippery as hell whenever it gets wet... and as we age, it's getting more treacherous.
Will it add value to the house? For us, yes. For resale, not sure. I can bully Schmoop into agreeing, but should I?
