Not theirs of course, but yours will do.

Election official here! Absolutely go sign up to be one. It gives you visibility into the process and all the security measures and triple checks they do to ensure election integrity, and you get to help people vote! It's great!
This is a great read. One thing I'd add is that if you're concerned about voter intimidation then do something about it! Volunteer to be a poll worker or observer. Find an organization that gets people to the polls. Engage in get out the vote efforts.

There are more of us than there are of them.
Trump can't steal the midterms.

I say that not as a call for complacency, but to right-size worries. Authoritarianism partially exists in our heads. Excessive fear plays into their hands.

Be vigilant but don't panic. Don't grant the regime more power than it actually has.

once again pointing out that Trump vs. US is a treasonous decision--the Supreme Court equivalent of January 6--and the justices who voted for it have forfeited any claim to legitimacy (or indeed due process) whatsoever
One thing that's important to realize now is that, even in a scenario where Dems sweep to a crushing trifecta in 2028, Republicans will use their control of the courts to attempt to continue, as much as they can, to run executive agencies in exile, with DHS/ICE under Biden as the model

They should contextualize all these crimes and atrocities, and tell people what they can do.

I want my leaders to LEAD.

The real reason CBS didn't let Colbert air his interview with James Talarico is that the Ellisons are still trying to buy Warner Bros.

David Ellison runs Paramount, which owns CBS.

He's using CBS to show what loyal oligarchs they are as they seek FCC approval for a WBD deal.

Civil rights figures like Jesse Jackson are why black feminists are theorized intersectionality: he might have forged a multi-racial coalition but black woman weren’t always in that coalition. Complicated man, complicated politics.
i think jesse jackson was one of the most important american political figures of the post-war era and i think that his 1984 and 1988 campaigns for the democratic nomination still have a great deal to teach about forging a path to a more egalitarian world. RIP.

The AI bubble RAM crisis is caused for non-existent problems by non-existent money for a non-existent infrastructure to meet non-existent demand to make non-existent business and will utterly destroy real business based on real demand and real infrastructure built with real money for real problems.
I understand framing the AI bubble RAM supply crisis in terms of stuff like video game consoles because nerds can conceptualize that but the framing does really undersell the sheer magnitude of how it's going to fuck up everything that even touches a computer.
