I have many thoughts about this, one is I can't help but think this is all just shining a light on how games are still being held to wildly different standards than other media like film. I've played very few games like HORSES but watched so many films like it (as a connoisseur of arthouse horror).

I have many thoughts about this, one is I can't help but think this is all just shining a light on how games are still being held to wildly different standards than other media like film. I've played very few games like HORSES but watched so many films like it (as a connoisseur of arthouse horror).

Seventy years ago today Rosa Parks was arrested for sitting on a bus. She wasn't old, she wasn't passive, she was an engaged activist. As John Lewis would later say, she got in good trouble. She is an icon of progressive values and equality. Let her serve as a reminder for all of us today.

Not a UX expert, but making hidden discoveries feel incredibly rewarding is tough, vs normal "yes I am Batman this is what I normally observe" discoveries or observations
It is very gratifying to have written this while half asleep and then wake up to an avalanche of really good conversation. 🥰

A friend and I had a good old time poking around a salvage shop this afternoon; I found a lovely brass sconce with decayed wiring that (when cleaned up and out) did a fine job of replacing the single silly nail that my long necklaces had been hanging on 😅
