Only Marc (who played Brandon and later Koto) stepped down with me. Most of the others brushed off the incident, one person even saying "if you don't accept a little bigotry from your friends, you're going to live a lonely life" 💀

I left in March 2024 after the bigoted opinions of one of the players came out in response to some trans-positive stickers that I made. When I mentioned that their behavior made me very uncomfortable, the GM said "free speech" superseded my comfort at the table. So much for table safety.

I used a papal bull as a petition paper to agrat bat mahlat, asking for protection for the transgender community. The bull was sealed by Pope Pius IX and grants ecclesiastical permission for self practice of religious services at home to my family, and absolves anyone who practices with us of sin.

We need to take concrete action every day. What does that look like in practical terms?

As an organizer, here’s a plan I suggest for the general public:

The 10 Commandments of defiance published by the nation magazine in August 2025.
One. Defy tyranny through acts of nonviolent defiance each day.
Two. Protect education.
Three. Slow down, obstruct and destroy the machine of fascism.
Four. Safeguard free speech, independent media and protect journalists.
Five. Defend free and fair elections.
Six. Take to the streets.
Seven. Demand courage from leaders.
Eight. Support and organize unions.
Nine. Create subversive art and random acts of joy.
10. Protect anyone targeted by this administration.

The Alabama Public Library Service has a new proposal that would ban—get this—only "positive depictions" of trans people.

The hearing is next month. Public comment is open.
