This really resonated with me this Thanksgiving.

"I loved my time teaching in Texas. ... By banning discussions of certain topics, Texas schools are infantilizing these learners and scholars. They are failing to nurture understanding. They are failing to educate. They are failing as universities."

Scientists must learn to join larger pro-democracy and people's movements, coalitions. Our science training may not have prepared us for such work, but we can no longer sit in the safety of our labs and expect the world to get better

This is a really sick story.

From everything I know, Boston’s Logan Airport is a legitimately dangerous place to travel through.

I feel much safer today knowing that we deported a Babson College student back to a country where she hasn't lived since childhood.

She wasn't even flying internationally. She was flying to Texas.

RTs appreciated.

I work with municipal wastewater facilities, who are (were) required by EPA to remove PFAS from muni water. This is doing an about face on the US cleanup for the last 2 to 3 decades. People will suffer and die. Corporations need to be held to account, not just municipal waste water facilities.

The EPA will approve two new pesticides containing “forever chemicals” and relax a reporting rule for companies who make products with forever chemicals.

The moves come after a $60 million lobbying blitz from the forever chemical industry.

I can't be mad at this post because its right. I also am not offended by it because I voted for the most qualified candidate. Nor I sat at home or went 3rd party. Our votes/nonvotes have consequences for the world.

Sitting on an economy flight is a great illustration of what life would be like all the time if it were only up to corporations. Here's your rationed tiny space. Now we'll yell ads about credit cards at you for approximately 5 hours. The wifi's broken, this cart is gonna hit you, buy stuff from it.
