Very excited to have a new paper!!

Because the U.S. Supreme Court has essentially gutted the Establishment Clause of the U.S. Const, it is perhaps time to turn to the establishment provisions of the state constitutions to ensure some degree of separation of church and state

Colorado’s women had been enfranchised since 1893, when they won the vote through a state popular referendum. #WeTheMen

What a disaster
Justices Seem Ready to Give Trump More Power to Fire Independent Government Officials
A ruling in the president’s favor in the case, which deals with his attempt to remove a member of the Federal Trade Commission, would be a major expansion of presidential authority.

Given the Roberts Court dismantling of constitutional protections, state constitutions have become more important.
Ugh! I rewrote the post several times to try to include both links in the post without going over the character limit, but it clearly didn't work. Thanks for letting me know! I included a third post in the original thread, and it's also linked here:

If you cannot at the very least call your students by their correct name and pronouns (correct=what student says is correct), you are not cut out to be a teacher and should find another occupation.

Seriously, teachers owe their students that minimal level of respect.
Cw: suicide
This article is devastating.

Earlier this month, a 15-year-old died by suicide the day after posting about a substitute teacher insisting on misgendering him.

Suicide can have many contributing factors. His family is speaking out about bullying and misgendering as two.
