Late to mentioning this, but I am the editor for Buying You On the Day You Were to Die. I've really wanted the chance to edit more standalone books, especially ones for older audiences, and I enjoyed going through this book! It's heavy, and sometimes I want a story of someone REALLY going through it

call me a crazy socialist, but I think when you're one of the biggest media companies in Japan, you can afford to pay a standard rate (an already too-low standard rate!) for the localization of an extremely hyped, upcoming series

LRP and thread quoted are so true, as is the likening to J>E dicts to thesauruses. After a certain point you can instinctively grasp the nuance of a word in JP, but the exact word you're looking for in EN isn't in the J>E dict, even if they're all close. That's when I head to the E>E thesaurus!
