Today's warm-up: I sadly didn't get to do many of my warm-ups this week, but I'll catch-up! The winner of my last poll was Charlotte from Charlotte's Web. The Hanna-Barbera adaptation was a favorite childhood film of mine, and Debbie Reynolds as Charlotte was absolutely perfect.

"98% of gamers are men"?

Brother what year do you think it is? That may have been true in 1970 when the only video games were text printouts on old mainframes that only a tiny handful of nerds had access to but it's 2025

It's definitely not for everybody, but I personally like this film on a personal level. While I have never lost my parents, I too go through mental problems and try to grow and improve as a person. This film does offer valuable lessons on helpful thinking and retracing your steps.
Finding Dory: This one is actually good also in my eyes. I really appreciate that it's a unique kind of movie from the original. I like how it continues the great representation of what having a disability feels like from the first one.

See look here, even just turning on the latest dubbed Spy x Family ep gave me a scene that shows exactly what I mean.

Listen to how many turns Caitlin Glass's performance as Damien shifts in this minute alone. You just FEEL in the moment how much his mind is racing. Esp the trembling, Christ...

If ANYTHING good comes of these sinful AI dubs & shit, it's greater public awareness how much thought & effort is put into the processes being plagued by tech. We shouldn't have needed this to prove it ofc, but weebs now have no right to argue anime dubs are just translating and reading the script.

AI is NOT inevitable. Keep not using it. Uninstall Copilot from your computer. Refuse to use programs bogged down with it. Complain loudly about it when they shove it into the programs you use. We can starve the slop machines.
"All of this falls apart if humans don't adopt the tech. This is why you've seen Meta cram its lame chatbots into WhatsApp and Instagram. This is why Notepad and Paint now have useless Copilot buttons on Windows. This is why Google Gemini wants to "help you" read and reply to your emails."
Analysis: OpenAI is a loss-making machine, how can it survive?
Don't call it a bubble! Loss-making monster OpenAI is on the hook for $1.4 trillion (with a T) in compute commitments. How can this go on?
