Also find it weird that so many gamers who are convinced video games are a artform (which it is) don't even realize that part of WHY it's an artform is because of the visuals. Some games need powerful hardware to make artistic statements. it's really the core of the technology tbh

Also worse graphics is so subjectively worded like what does that mean? do you mean lower res, lower quality? You mean it looks bad in your subjective eyes? Why not just fucking say not every game needs to be 100 hours & have top of the line specs required. It's not that hard.

The reason everyone clowned on this meme (that she didn't even create btw) was because it's literally used by people who think any game that doesn't use outdated effects & rendering is somehow abusing the work force.
Very funny considering her game would be graphically intensive on a PS1 lol

Game having good graphics or even graphics that make the hardware work hard is not the same thing as Rockstar games making GTA 6 have visible water droplets on beer bottles that add literally nothing to the gameplay or visual style

Imagine if a new Zelda game came out with 3ds graphics on a 450 dollar gaming system released not even 6 months ago, and removed core gameplay traditions of Zelda
people would be fucking livid & for good reason because it's fucking Zelda.
Pokemon is that right now and people defend it.

Also I haven't played the new game so maybe it actually is good, but sorry, I don't exactly trust gamefreak seeing as Pokemon has been perpetually mid since Generation 6 in terms of game quality as a whole.

And no, it doesn't make these games 0/10 metacritic reviewbomb tier bad, but it does ultimately say a lot that people don't hold Pokemon to a high standard when they really should
Pokemon has the power to make people go outside (2016 anyone?) We should care if the games are worth the asking price.

Does having every pokemon matter to everyone? No, but it really should be a feature in every game ngl.

the harsh reality is Game Freak is still making 3DS tier games for $70, and to most that's way too much.

it's because they haven't gotten over the National Dex shit & the "trees look bad crowd" from like what 7 years ago at this rate?

it's also just weird from my perspective that I've seen the occasional post acting like ZA is getting blasted but my whole timeline is people enjoying the game, it feels like some fans WANT to be victims so they can complain about "national dex people" or whatever irrelevant nonsense
