Wolverine (2020) 11-12: More Omega Red & Vampire stuff. This time ending on a cliffhanger!

Avengers (2010) 25-27: These ones act as a direct follow up to the Secret Avengers tie ins that I just logged, so not much new to say, other than some kickass Walt Simonson art!

Secret Avengers 26-28: Another series I kinda forgot existed, but hey these issues actually show some more of what happened before The Phoenix force arrived on earth in AVX.

X-Men Legacy 266-277: Ok these tie ins I have 2 things to say about
1: I liked seeing Rogue being unwillingly reminded of her past thanks to AVX
2: Rogue hulks out, nuff said!

Avengers Academy 29-31: More tie ins, this time for a series I never even heard of! Huh
December 8, 2025 at 9:45 AM
Wolverine & The X-Men 9-11: I'm honestly probably not gonna say much about many of these tie ins. Just cause it would be hard to describe them without much repeating myself.
That said though I enjoyed this set of issues art wise!

4: I feel like AVGN should be here since I loved and still love Jame's career as a whole. I specifcially chose to highlight what I feel like is the best modern AVGN episode by far that explores what Nostalgic Gaming means on a deeper level. www.youtube.com/watch?v=-XtT...

3: probably the most recent video I can think of that I found super great, but this explores a lost to time special effect only seen in one shot of Raiders of the Lost Ark.
A deep dive into unmade Film history.

2: Steve Ditko is often portrayed as a crazy out of touch man with wild morality, but I like how this video interviews the seldom few family he had, to prove that isn't true. It's great to hear more about the man who created so many iconic comics.

1: there will Never Ever be another driver like Dale Earnhardt
even if you dislike or know little about Nascar I suggest this, it truly explains not only the arguable best driver, but why the sport represents freedom, and is more than Cars going in circles. www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxTA...

Home Alone: Still a classic, it just holds up in emotion & comedy and is one of my favorites every Christmas.
John Williams score is of highlight for me.

Wolverine (2020) 8-10: Logan ends up having to save a Mutant he has history with who's being sold as a weapon on Auction! Obviously bad news, but will Logan convince said Mutant to come to his new home?

New Avengers (2010) 25-27: For these issues, we are given much better context & explanation for a key detail of the main event, which is that the Phoenix force has been on a Iron Fist in the distant past. Plus: A shockingly great moment of Spider-man giving advice.
December 6, 2025 at 3:25 AM
New Avengers (2010) 24: In a similar move, this issue shows it from the perspective of the smaller Avengers team, who didn't get much attention in the main event.
December 6, 2025 at 3:23 AM
Uncanny X-Men (2012) 11: For this issue, we simply see some of the early issues of AVX from the perspective of the X-Men. I like this one as a companion.

AVX Vs 4-6: Not much else to add except about half of Issue 6 is joke battles, one of which i thought was actually pretty funny
December 6, 2025 at 3:21 AM
AVX Vs 1-3: One thing I liked about the main event I didn't mention was that I liked that it focused on plot & character writing over having too many fanservice fights.
For that, they ended up doing a 6 issue series of nothing but battles between the team members!
December 6, 2025 at 3:20 AM
Avengers Vs X-Men 11-12: While not perfect, I did enjoy this event due to it's actually major scope & events, plus I think characters acted right for the most part.
Even the ones who acted different than normal had good reason to.
