dating sim but you have to manage a racing team and split your time and money between financing the team, driving, car modifications, dates. Characters would be rival racers, pit gal etc. If you don't train hard enough you won't have the stats to win a championship how embarassing

I was inspired by this post to replace the CMOS battery in my PS2 and THREE HOURS LATER I've managed to put it back together with everything working. I think it can just stay in Y2k when this battery runs out.
Mission accomplished. The swirly time orbs have returned.

Absolutely love this post. Another example why we need to study history from the bottom up, not necessarily top down.

Such an easy thing to flex about when you have nothing to be ashamed of. 🍻
We don’t use AI for subtitles. Every line is carefully timed and translated by real people (who cry during finales and debate Best Girls, just like you).

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

So the first Drift-Out had real cars without licenses, so we got such gems as the Subaro Legagy, the Mitsuboshi Galent, and the BWM W3. The later games had licenses and there was no more hilarity. OR SO I THOUGHT! Because this new re-release of the game lost the licenses and we get this gold… (1/)

Thanks for the suggestions. Obviously I had to mock up a cover as if they actually released a soundtrack album.

the fact that so many people frame autism as “a problem that needs to be solved” is a constant reminder that being “not normal” isn’t acceptable to a large amount of the world. it’s the same reason there’s a trans panic right now too. they think people are defective

If you want to dress well this fall, imagine yourself as Big Jim Collie, a Scottish crofter in the 1970s who lived alone in a bothy and rode a rickety old bicycle through the Lairig Ghru, the highest mountain pass in the highest mountain range in Britain, while sustaining himself on a bit of dram.

Really goes to show just how massive Gran Turismo and why so many publishers tried to make that lightning strike again for them in the early 00s.

Wild to see a bloke out there with cash doing the exact things with it that I would.
Atari CEO Wade Rosen has shared with VGC the three retro remasters he'd love to see his company taking on, including a Hideo Kojima classic.

Until this week, it's been impossible to play the games of the 1993 Pioneer LaserActive without one of the vanishingly rare, disintegrating consoles.
Here's the story of the guy who's been trying to fix that for years -- and all the hardware and software he had to build to make it possible.

"This is the first:" The 16 year odyssey of "time, money, wrong turns and frustration" it took to finally emulate the Pioneer LaserActive
In April 2009, a Sega fan decided to look into emulating the Mega LD, a quirky and little-known hybrid of Genesis and LaserDisc. This week he finished the job.
