HMRC to restart powers to take money directly from bank and building society accounts for tax owed.

How will it identify vulnerable people? What if money removed in error? Need safeguards.

The real culprits use offshore bank accounts or complex dodge schemes, and escape.

Holding govts to ransom.

Billionaire owner of Betfred says if UK govts raises tax it will close gambling shops.

Wants someone else to bear social cost of gambling.

Less tax on gambling means more for shareholders, execs.

Any big business not holding govt to ransom?

MrsZ has made apple crumbles, pies and a tart….
Can’t eat any more!
On our walks we see loads of free apples and one couple has so many, had to dispose of them to the tip.
All cooking apples otherwise, down the road from us the farm will press and bottle the juice.

Sumo stars goofing about at tourist locations seems a more fun way to celebrate England than any number of flags.
The thousand year old sport is kicking it in front the thousand some year old monument. #londonsumo #stonehenge
I’m staying in.
Looks horrible here.
Heavy rain with a breeze
My mate organised a gravel ride around Broadway for Sunday and pulled it forward because of the forecast.
They rode this morning and it did look a great route.
MrsZ can’t understand why I didn’t do it.
Plenty of places to stay including The Fleece Inn.
I miss that pub and their good food.

Well quite. Some media find Reform incredibly interesting to write about, that doesn't necessarily translate into votes. Congrats to the Lib Dems for holding them off in various by-elections this week.
How it started vs How it's going.

They are.
We have an MTB track on the other side of the Woods.
Definitely not for a gravel bike or me!
Pembrokeshire ‘View from my rear end’
It’s a bit of a faff downloading and then editing without subscribing to the app for my Chillitech rear camera.
Front GoPro mount has arrived today for the gravel bike So I’ll be having a front view soon….
You’d think Llys-y-Fran was in Scotland and not just 30 minutes from home as we have not yet trundled around the reservoir!
It’s on the list.
Jumps without suspension. Yikes!
Park at Caffi’r Sgwar and ride down and around is the plan.
Pembrokeshire Cycling 🌲
That was an entertaining ride through the woods.
It’s MTB terrain as the inclines are very steep and the downhill bits 😳
No traction as so slippy…had to walk!
You do need 50mm block tread tyres for that terrain but gotta
say, riding on the dry gravel was a blast!
Question
How can a person claim universal credit when they have an asset for sale and when sold they will pocket 350k?
Shouldn’t be allowed to own a dog and he needs reporting.
Society is on a slippery slope of those believing terrible behaviour is acceptable.
Pity he didn’t have a trip into the canal.
Pembrokeshire Sparrow
Not just any sparrow, but a special sparrow.
Lighter in colour and managed to get the shot looking through the French windows as they are a jumpy group with the birds of prey on the hunt.

UK faces highest inflation in G7 this year and next, IMF warns.

Biggest cause is profiteering led by energy, water and food businesses. No govt checks it.

Real average wage stuck at 2008 level. 1% have more wealth than 70% of the population combined. Govts needs to remove cash from the rich.

UK banks oppose tax rise.

Falsely claim to be paying 46.4% tax rate.

The PwC generated number includes PAYE, employee national insurance which is paid by workers. VAT which is borne by customers.

it is extrapolated from a sample, can't be verified

Why do media reports not expose this sham claim?

Hot shower and it’s taken a while to get warm.
Hate the cold
We were always falling out of trees.
Pear or apple were our favourites.
And always covered in bruises with knees scraped.
We found a live bullet in a shed at my mates and threw stones at it!
