Eugene Hasenfus has died.

He was a gunrunner whose plane was shot down over Nicaragua in 1986 during a CIA-sponsored mission. His capture triggered the Iran-Contra investigation that exposed how the US supported militias with drug money to try to overthrow leftist governments in Latin America.

1️⃣ year today since the "Remediation Acceleration Plan" announcement.

The only "change" leaseholders have seen is a new Housing Secretary and Minister for Building Safety.

MHCLG are still dragging their feet.

Labour are still far from keeping their manifesto promises.

Hivemind, I have a challenge. Popular culture is dominated by the car (car chases, cop dramas etc), helping us accept a car-dominated urban environment as normal. Can you think of any examples of popular culture highlighting bikes, trams, walking etc? I can only think of A Streetcar Named Desire.

It's really incredible how much British pride continues to inflict self-harm.
