1. "The Secret Ingredient" - @lunastation.bsky.social Issue 061 (March)

A soft and sweet Queer Contemporary Fantasy Romance about finding the courage to fall in love.

I may be the exact target audience but uhhh Frankenstein (2025) is probably one of my top 3 films of all time.

I've never been so literally stunned by a film. I've never been so swept up in a story I knew so well. A marvel in & for every sense.

Such high expectations, all of them surpassed.
Told someone in a recent staff training that, if my supervisor told me tomorrow that I would be required to use AI in my job, I would immediately start planning my exit strategy. That I would quit my job rather than use AI.

They were shocked. I was shocked that their response wasn't similar.
“I am not interested, nor will I ever be interested. I'm 61, and I hope to be able to remain uninterested in using it at all until I croak. ... The other day, somebody wrote me an email, said, ‘What is your stance on AI?’ And my answer was very short. I said, ‘I'd rather die.’” 🫡
Filmmaker Guillermo del Toro says 'I'd rather die' than use generative AI
Del Toro's new Frankenstein adaption reimagines Mary Shelley's 1818 Gothic novel. Frankenstein was like a tech bro: "creating something without considering the consequences," he explains.

ben daniels in interview with the vampire has convinced me that the only sane choice for any modern iterations of dr. frank-n-furter would have to be played by ben daniels

After a week of ridiculous Republican smears and Trump claiming that “very few people are going to be there,” you just made history. #NoKings

I just keep thinking about the first guy to put on the frog costume reading the news today and seeing frogs literally all over the world

what a fucking thing, man

that 25 year old did more for the country in a week than most of the NYT op-ed section in a lifetime

Here at the No Kings protest in Salem. A group of veterans and other locals play a song, singing “This land is made for you and me.”

The crowd estimate for Portland's No Kings protest is currently at 40,000.

My favorite sign from the Tempe No Kings march this morning was one that simply read "FROGS TOGETHER STRONG"

“When they rob us of art and emotion, that leads us towards the aesthetics of fascism. In this film, all the sets are real, the decor is human-sized, there are painstakingly created miniatures... It’s there to remind us that art is not only necessary, it is urgent. And AI can go fuck itself!”

For the first time in more than 100 years, Chinook salmon have been spotted at the confluence of the Sprague and Williamson rivers in Chiloquin, the government seat of the Klamath Tribes in Southern Oregon.

Salmon clear last Klamath dams, reaching Williamson and Sprague rivers
Just a year after four dams were removed, a group of fall Chinook have migrated nearly 300 miles into the Upper Klamath Basin.

He's saying the things!!! Someone in power is saying the things!!!
Chris Murphy: "This is a country that's falling apart because Trump is in the middle of an authoritarian takeover. We're not on the verge of an authoritarian takeover. We're in the middle of it ... I have no moral obligation to vote for a budget that literally funds the destruction of our democracy"
I cannot fucking wait to see this film. Already have my tickets. I'm on the hype train, choo choo motherfuckers.
This from @realgdt.bsky.social talking about 'Frankenstein' is so good.

Tonight we drank bourbon and listened to Run the Jewels on vinyl while I made peanut butter bread from "Baking Yesteryear" by B. Dylan Hollis.

The world is scary right now, but there's still this. There's still love.
Ohhhhh that wallpaper is GORGEOUS 😍😍😍.
