One last rant—we require politicians to live in the communities they serve because they need to have a personal investment in the work they do. If these dipshits can’t be bothered to even live in the same state, that tells you how little they’re invested in your community.
In LA their starting pay is higher than a teacher’s with a *fraction* of the education requirements. Policing isn’t even among the top ten most dangerous professions. Your roofers and garbage men risk their lives more each year.
Going down a rabbit hole now and learning that this “super commuting” from other states is not uncommon for police? And some people in my social circle are not at all surprised or upset?? Because they’re like “yeah, cost of living is high in a lot of places”??? But another god damn STATE????
