@PFracassi.bsky.social returns to The Doylestown Bookshop to discuss his new book, #TheAutumnSpringsRetirementHomeMassacre, w/ @ChuckWendig.bsky.social.

We are loving this book, and when talking about it, one of our booksellers said, "It's like The Thursday Murder Club checked into Bates Motel."

If you can, go peacefully protest at a 10/18 #NoKings event.
Or, there'll be at least one virtual protest at 2:30pm PDT, I'll post the zoom link when I have it.

Can't do either? That's ok too. Support a protesting friend by being their safe contact, or offer childcare, or whatever. It all helps!

I frequently say you don't need to protest. You don't! There are a thousand other ways to push back on fascism if protesting doesn't feel comfortable or safe for you!

But if you CAN go, this 10/18 #NoKings thing is really a key protest to participate in. Be part of it, friends.

NO KINGS, y'all! October 18! Find a rally near you and GO!

A must-read thread to truly understand the culture and humor tied in with the Portland protests.

What The Hell Is Going On, a thread:

I’ve seen some thinkpieces and posts about Portland protests that fail to understand the long-term hyperspecificity of Portland culture/humor, and frame it as a sort of shitposting meme-pilled ironic thing. Which is wrong.

So I’m gonna give you my breakdown.

OK people this is not a drill - my cousin has expressed an interest in philosophy, she needs a book recommendation. What's a good thing to read if you have no philosophy background?

Spec-fic writers are not. Not anymore.
Tech bros, on the other hand, seem to have concluded their reading lists with "The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress."
