Remember when kids complaining to outside authorities about a bad grade were called snowflakes and if their parents intervened pundits bemoaned rampant helicoptering? Kids lack resilience nowadays! Suck it up!

But call yourself Christian and complain to your helicopter Governor? Now you're a victim

Important lesson here for democrats:

Oligarchs and corporations respond to incentives. So if there’s a threat of punishment for wrongdoing, they’ll just do the right thing. But the accountability has to be real.
Dimon on why JPMorgan Chase is not funding WH Ballroom:
We have an issue, which is anything we do, since we do a lot of contracts with governments here and around the world, we have to be very careful how anything is perceived, and also how the next DOJ is going to deal with it.

Almost everyone I know (me included) are constantly asked by management to figure out new ways to use AI. It’s like “here’s a hammer. Find things to nail.”

Another one for the "we are ruled by hollowed-out husks who believe in nothing but their own untouchability" files
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

I am so excited to share this poem and join the many many other Icarus poets. Here is my speculative ekphrastic "Flooded Landscape with the Fall of Icarus" which imagines Breughel's landscape altered by climate change.

Thank you @terrainorg.bsky.social!

Isn't this also why none of the individuals in Congress who are also military vets will state a specific illegal order issued by Trump? bsky.app/profile/flee...
This is how Trump merely suing people influences their behavior, and he knows it. Which is why he keeps doing it.
Today @rutgerbregman.com posted a transcript of his Reith Lecture showing that the version that BBC aired removed the line about Trump's world-historical corruption.

BBC emailed me: "we made the decision to remove one sentence from the lecture on legal advice.”
