It’s widely known (and, I think, pretty uncontroversial) that learning requires effort — specifically, if you don’t have to work at getting the knowledge, it won’t stick.

Even if an LLM could be trusted to give you correct information 100% of the time, it would be an inferior method of learning it.
Relying on ChatGPT to teach you about a topic leaves you with shallower knowledge than Googling and reading about it, according to new research that compared what more than 10,000 people knew after using one method or the other.

The only appropriate response to this sort of dodge is "okay piggy."

I know some will say that's stooping to Turnip's level. I disagree. It will either:
1. Force the recipient to expose their hypocrisy
2. Normalize the behavior, removing the impact when he says it
GOP Rep. Salazar won't criticize Trump calling a woman reporter "piggy" -- "President Trump is a very different type of politician. But I always say I look at his policies and not his personality. Nobody is perfect."

He tried to end it, now he wants to rename it.
“Call it Trumpcare,” he says - the same plan, new label.
That’s how power works when memory fades: destroy, rebrand, repeat.

Rick Scott told me his plan would be to take all of the remaining ACA subsidies and redistribute them to HSA accounts and people can then buy whatever insurance a state certifies. Basically a repeal/replace.
He denied when I asked wouldn’t that create two-tiered system where sick pay much more…

How can one be accused of assaulting a federal officer (ICE) if the person hasn’t been shown actual federal credentials during the encounter?

This essentially means ANYONE can kidnap you, and you assume that fighting back when some random stranger forces you into a car could get you arrested.

I first heard rumours about this in September.

We're currently without one of our most powerful tools for communicating with spacecraft in deep space, and it's not clear when we'll get it back.

One of the largest antennas in NASA’s Deep Space Network was damaged in September and may be out of service for an extended period, further straining the system.

Trump solved his problem of having to present actual proof that the people they have been murdering on boats are narco terrorists by letting the two witness survivors of the last attack go home.

As one does with narco terrorists.

I don’t think Microsoft execs realise how out of touch they are with their customers. They’re very lost, and don’t realise it.

Sand batteries are literally just silos of sand that retain heat exceptionally well -- so well that they can be tied to heat exchange systems to serve as proxy *electrical* batteries. Finland's new model can store enough power (100 MWh) to heat an entire town for a week.

Trump always turns on everyone. His egotism and paranoia will out. The only person able to stay his friend over an extended period was Epstein—and Epstein was filling a need.

But Trump is not unique. Fascism always consumes the fascists.
