anyway all of this is interesting because a game I worked on got a bunch of negative reviews because it had trans people in it and stream told us that they believe in the freedom of speech and couldn't take down those reviews because they supported the freedom of speech

This is infuriating and tragic but I also wonder if we couldn’t crowdfund 100k to keep Santa Ragione open—they make some of the strangest and most interesting games.

i played for judging this and liked it. super sad for Santa Ragione, and the general state of game censorship. re: Steam in particular, a landscape where everyone has to depend on a totally unaccountable monopoly to survive is not one that benefits artists in any way.

We did something different with the credits for Demonschool. We used this format: name, title, lengthy description of what they did. Often you see credits in games where you don't know what the credited developer was actually responsible for. We wanted to give people proper, actual credit.
