Sabres looked disturbingly competent today. No longer a losing record

But you don’t like me

And walk the Streets of Bakersfield

I love the menace of “Gimme Shelter” and “Sympathy for the Devil”. “Bitch” is my favorite straight up rocker of their’s.

But “Live With Me” is straight up rock and roll decadence, and that’s probably my favorite.

“You’d look good pram pushin
Down the High Street”
Name your fav song by The Rolling Stones.

Oh Sabres! Would that you put forth this kind of effort every night.
November 22, 2025 at 2:53 AM
Well, the Sabres aren’t losing halfway through the first. That qualifies as some kind of improvement

Athletic is reporting that AD Mack Rhoades will be out at Baylor. Anyone hear specifics as to why? It’s not the tshirt incident
November 20, 2025 at 10:53 PM
Glad to see the Sabres woke up tonight.

“Plaid Trooper” was that guy from Scotland that teamed up with the Joes in a later season.
Your GI JOE name is the color of your shirt followed by your first pet's name.

GO.

Sabres up 3-1 on Edmonton. Much like Claude Rains in Casablanca, I’m shocked

The Sleepwalkers and The Leopard
alright let’s get something more pleasant going. what two books would you leave out on your coffee table so a reporter can mention you have them. doesn’t matter if you’ve read them. for me it’s Pale Fire (which I did read) and Ulysses (got like 15% of the way in)

The Leopard, by Giovanni de Lampedusa. A book can be entirely plausible and beautiful to read.
performative reading, lack of reading skills, nobody's reading anymore -- NO!

tell me about a book that changed you

for me? the *extremely* ahistorical novel, THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY which I read at 13 and was like, "Oh, art can be *everything* to a maker, for good and bad"
