Resident Bills Homer
@bonescrosby.bsky.social
Husband and father who cares way too much about football. Buffalo Bills, Bama Crimson Tide. UAB Blazers. UGA by marriage. Strong opinions on Warhammer, rail transportation, and defense issues.
It’s more like you’re gonna have incompetent boosters playing the part of the nobility, and there’s no Alexei Brusilov to run the football team.

I was gonna say, Bobby Lowder is out of the picture

Nah Golesh left the USSR. Raise the Imperial Eagle!

Sumrall would worry me more as a fan of another team, but your reasoning on Golesh is solid. And I think he’s fairly good

Need the old Imperial Eagle imagery mixed in with some Auburn imagery.

I think it’s a pretty good hire? I like Golesh but I have no idea what level of unity there is on this in Lee County. My Auburn in-laws were on the DJ Durkin train.

I’m kinda torn. Acquaintance of mine has a son on the Duke team. Always have had a soft spot for the Cavs as a home state team.

I’ll cheer for the public school elitists versus the private school elitists.

Auburn’s living up to the Baptist reputation: doesn’t know how to score

TBF, Tommy doesn’t know what he had for breakfast yesterday

You say that as if it were a bad thing

It’s been pushed hard in state this year

I’ve been saying this since 1991

I can’t believe I’m defending Barn, but A&M is an order of magnitude weirder than Auburn. Yell Leaders for the goofiness

Depends on the definition of “great”. If it’s “doing better than what has been done historically at a school”…Bob Stoops wasn’t great at Oklahoma (not enough national titles compared to Bud Wilkinson and Barry Switzer). Likewise, Bo Schembechler was not great at Michigan.

MAN I’m glad no one else is in the room, I’d have to explain my laugh.

Outstanding

I never was a fan of Kathryn Heigel

Are we dealing with Mensheviks or Trotskyites then? Or worse…VOLSHEVIKS

Good point on the cap with UPL.
November 28, 2025 at 2:43 PM
UPL’s contract makes it tougher, and TBF, he was great against Carolina last Sunday. His GAA is the best of the three.

Lyon would be the easiest to move, but I think they have the most confidence in him. I have no idea about Ellis.

They got to give Juri time: blood clots are DAMN SERIOUS

Side note: Graham Nash, Kirk Hammett and John Paul Jones could record an album of “The Nice Guys In Superstar Groups Otherwise Filled With Cantankerous Dudes”
November 28, 2025 at 2:22 PM
It’s about to get rough. Man if they could just beat the bad teams, they’d have a wild card clot now.

They are flakier than a bowl of Kellog’s. They’ve definitely improved! But they could be so much better!
