Money will ultimately dictate the CFP, just as it does every other aspect of college football and American life.
Also, the NFL has seen 7-9 teams make the playoffs, so why not expand the field and let some marginal teams in. Degenerate gamblers love that shit, and gambling is nearly mandatory now.

A 16-team field would've been good this year, but it would've been far too big last year, when 12 fit.

I think an important thing to understand about brofluencer ideology is that they do not just deny that being toxic and shitty makes you a less appealing partner, they insist that women are only genuinely attracted to toxic and shitty men and being kind will instead make women lose respect for you.
