This is perfect!

It is weird. That’s from when people were losing their minds about people telling Dems they should talk like normal people and mobs were arguing against it. You helped prove my point. Thank you!! Haha.

Let me get this straight: Trump has a plan for a new ballroom, but barely has a concept of a plan to lower the cost of health care?

He has long been TPUSA’s communications contact/spokesperson, but has taken on a more visible role in recent months.

Agree with this thread. Worth reading in full.

25 years ago John Roberts, Brett Kavanaugh, and AC Barrett all worked on GWBush's 2000 Florida recount team. What they're doing now is, if anything, more nakedly partisan.

Fire-breathing dissent by Kagan, with Sotomayor and Jackson.
They're not even trying to appear nonpartisan anymore.
#BREAKING: Over dissents from the three democratic appointees, #SCOTUS puts Texas's new House maps back into effect for (and, presumably, through) the 2026 midterms.

The three Democratic appointees, in an opinion by Justice Kagan, dissent.

I'll post the ruling shortly.

I don't usually listen to audiobooks. I much prefer reading to listening.

But my former wife (and present best friend) recommended Benjamin Wood's reading of his 2025 novel _Seascraper_ so strongly that I gave it a try.

What a beautiful, atmospheric tale, especially in audiobook form.

ARRRGH!! the second strike to eliminate any survivors was NOT a war crime! we are not at war. IT WAS MURDER!! and the first strike to kill the people in the boat was ALSO MURDER. why is this so hard?

The order was conspiracy to commit murder and pushing the button WAS murder.

I’m not saying “don’t get distracted” because if there is a consensus to call it a war crime then there could be some accountability in the near term. But let’s not forget the whole truth of what this really is.

The fact that a second strike like that in an armed conflict is definitely a war crime should not completely negate the fact that *there is no war* and ALL the strikes are cold-blooded murder. The whole chain of command are murderers.

Gavin Newsom spent the early months of Trump 2 having friendly chats with far-right extremists. He praised Steve Bannon shortly after he gave a literal Nazi salute.

Google "Newsom vetoes" for a long list of things he has fucked up for California. He's a snake and you shouldn't trust him.
You may have gripes...nobody is perfect, but Newsom has been a great governor. He's an excellent administrator, and if you want to join the circular firing squad which has destroyed progressive politics, be it on you.
