If Mahmood wanted to tackle declining in trust in politicians a good step would be being honest about immigration. It isn't migration which is the issue, it's the misinformation demonising migrants which surrounds it. Europe's border policies already cost lives.

If anyone ever wondered why Catholicism simultaneously stresses "Be nicer or you're going to hell", "You should feel bad about what you did" and "Of course you can be forgiven - if you mean it", it's in essence to prevent this sort of worldview of "God loves me so I'm great, screw everyone else."

Disappointing, they used to be very reliable in my experience.

It seems our governments prefer to see the infrastructure critical to the nation's security to be in the hands of foreign parasites.

1/ The existence of oligarchs/massive international corporations aka the 1%
2/ Governments who only serve the 1% and not their people.
