I have always had an impression of him as not a very nice person. Arrogant, autocratic and at times perhaps narcissistic. His policies had nothing to do with any of that, nor the views of his enemies

I see the Indy is also going with asylum seekers being “banned” from doing something they were being forced to do unwillingly in the first place, so presumably this is how the Home Office‘s press release is framing its own admissions of incompetence and waste

But, but, but we can't 'rejoin', that deal is gone, we aren't ready, they don't want us, it will be decades before we can apply, we made our decision, we'd have to accept the euro, what about schengen, ot isn't a magic bullet...
