What irony!
Jonathan Gullis joins #ReformUK.
He called his constituents scrotes and scumbags when a Tory MP. Now his joined a party full of them!

It's December. The goal is to find MELIA a home for Christmas. We can do this. Over 810 days waiting. Poor baby. A quiet adult only home, no dogs, cats are ok. 3.5 years old, around 50 lbs. Come on New York!

Also I apologize in advance, my left eye has a mind of it's own

Brexit knocked 8% off GDP. There are no growth opportunities for the UK economy that comes anywhere near rejoining the customs union and single market. To ignore this when you have the power to do something about it, solely because you are scared of the gutter press , is gross criminal negligence.
👏🏽"We must all now confront the reality that the Brexit deal significantly hurt our economy. We have to keep reducing frictions. We have to keep moving towards a closer relationship with the EU. And we have to be grown up about it. To accept that it will require trade-offs."👏🏽

What’s the point of Keir Starmer employing an economics advisor if he ignores her on the biggest economic issue of the day?

The OBR messed up, and the head of the OBR resigned.

There's a huge lesson in accountability there for politicians, though of course they will glibly ignore it.

The OBR is run independently from Government. It literally was somebody else's fault.

You'd think Kemi Badenoch would know that given her own party created it in Government, but apparently not

Let's not pretend that stealth taxes are not lies or deceit by politicians.

Is our media corrupt? Yes. Perhaps they should have done something about it when they first took office.

Will it bring Reeves down eventually? Probably.

Will I be upset? No.

The general position of journalists in that Starmer Q&A appeared to be: The economy has been doing better than expected and so the Chancellor did not have to increase income tax, breaking a manifesto pledge, as feared, therefore, THE CHANCELLOR MUST RESIGN. 😵‍💫
I find it interesting that every single TV political journalist opened with an editorialising comment, while all the newspaper ones just asked questions. I suspect, because the latter know the question won't be in the write-up, while the former are trying to craft a clip that is all about them. ~AA

Keir Starmer, "Tax rises do make life harder for people, I understand that, it's obvious"

It's also obvious that a wealth tax of 1% on those with £10m+ would NOT make life harder for the rich - thats also obvious 🤷‍♂️

Her idea is UK-born grandparents could be the proposal

A remarkable piece of radicalisation that her X replies make her think *most* people would ban Nus Ghani & Rishi Sunak and Kemi Badenoch and Shabana Mahmood and Priti Patel from parliament, despite Sunak being PM being uncontroversial on race

White says she would not apply this to Boris Johnson, citing his ethnicity & parentage (in contrast to Ghani, whether born in Pakistan or here, so she would exclude Shabana Mahmood. Sadiq Khan, Rishi Sunak and Priti Patel)!

Habib has said it would not be racist to ban British citizens born abroad - including Nus Ghani and himself (and Boris Johnson) from parliament). I have asked him if he supports White's proposal to ban Priti Patel and Rishi Sunak from parliament & would somehow claim that is not racist!

Ben Habib is now ludicrously supporting a call to ban Ben Habib from parliament!

Yes. They cry that they’re studiously non-partisan but their political editor takes it upon himself to essentially accuse the Labour chancellor of lying. Something that would simply *never* have happened - did not happen - with the Tories in power, when there was far more ammunition.

Mason declares that in his judgement we have been misled by Rachel Reeves.

It feels unprecedented that the BBC has made a "call" on a story, and is something that was absent throughout the terms of notorious liars such as Johnson.

There were certainly no "calls" about Brexit lies.
