I want to build a world where we don't need mental health therapists or psychiatry.

As a therapist, I work to make my profession obsolete. We need to build mutual aid and community care for mental health.

Mental health care is often used to enforce the status quo, the meatgrinder of capitalism.

Indeed. I'm pretty sure I'm shadowbanned on every app for not being generally argumentative and try to share nuance

I'll swing back toward optimism sometime, I'm just being authentic to what I'm feeling and thinking now. That way, it doesn't have as much power.

eliminate the structural and systemic causes for depression under capitalism.
bezelvercex.bsky.social
I agree, and there's a theory that depression is an adaptive response - perhaps even as a protective factor for dying by suicide - and/or a consequence of the development of the brain to the level of consciousness where one can abstract. Of course, it would all be easier to discern if we could...

People are spontaneously posting up near any laborers or street vendors they spot. Just saw a rapid responder guarding a man working on a building exterior. Many things are terrible today but lord, this stuff matters.

There are a tremendous number of ICE watchers out in Rogers Park this afternoon after some early morning abductions.

People are guarding churches and patrolling alleyways. Ran into Alderperson Hadden. First timers tell us they're primed and ready to use their whistles.

A year-long investigation reveals how a small group of Silicon Valley elites sought to capture the psychedelic therapy industry — using a network of affiliated organizations to scapegoat critics while pressuring regulators to approve their botched clinical trials.

🇦🇷The Argentina Bailout: Who Really Benefits?

🇦🇷The Argentina Bailout: Who Really Benefits?

The Trump administration just finalized a $20 billion financial rescue for Argentina, but critics suggest it’s really a bailout for Wall Street hedge funds.

📌 How the $20 Billion Works
🔸The package has three components:

1. A $20 billion currency-swap line, letting Argentina trade pesos for dollars to support its collapsing currency.

2. U.S. Treasury purchases of Argentine bonds, both new and existing.

3. An emergency credit line if the peso crisis deepens.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent insists this isn’t a bailout, but the structure closely mirrors previous rescues like Mexico’s 1994 bailout. 💰The Wall Street Connection:
Major U.S. investors — BlackRock, Fidelity, PIMCO, and billionaires Stan Druckenmiller and Robert Citrone, all heavy holders of Argentine debt — stand to gain the most. Citrone, a former Soros colleague of Bessent, reportedly urged intervention as Argentine bonds risked default. The deal now shields those bets with U.S. support.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren and seven other Democrats have moved to block the package, warning that it privatizes profits while socializing losses — echoing 2008’s bailout dynamics. They say they are investigating whether hedge funds influenced the Treasury’s decision.

🌾 Domestic Fallout
U.S. soybean farmers say the plan rewards Argentina’s export surge while undercutting their prices. Watch Breaking Points (

Kid Rock, who clearly shops at the "Tacky Meth-heads Who Like Silly Costumes" outlet, really shouldn't open his stupid mouth to talk about how other people look.

And Laura Ingraham should never open her snarling mouth to talk about anything.

I definitely feel that, and I wonder if the moving image will actually lose its sovereignty, if it hasn't already, as, for instance, video evidence of crimes will no longer have the weight it once did. Any video will be discreditable by calling it an AI deepfake.
