I want to build a world where we don't need mental health therapists or psychiatry.

As a therapist, I work to make my profession obsolete. We need to build mutual aid and community care for mental health.

Mental health care is often used to enforce the status quo, the meatgrinder of capitalism.

I agree, and there's a theory that depression is an adaptive response - perhaps even as a protective factor for dying by suicide - and/or a consequence of the development of the brain to the level of consciousness where one can abstract. Of course, it would all be easier to discern if we could...
